Dr Alen Rahulan

Dr Alen Rahulan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Adelaide in 2013. After graduating Alen worked in private practice in Adelaide and overseas in Singapore.

Alen’s passion for Periodontics brought him back to Adelaide for a year of research on periodontal disease where he was awarded the Colin Cormie scholarship. He eventually returned to his hometown Melbourne to complete his specialist Periodontics training at The University of Melbourne and was involved in research focused on assessing surgical techniques to maximise aesthetic outcomes of dental implants. 

Alen is a strong believer of continuing education and is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS), the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Alen is passionate about cultivating and strengthening his patient’s oral health and takes great pride in ensuring his patients have a positive dental experience. 

Dr Dawn Siow

Dr Dawn Siow graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) from King’s College London in 2014. After working in public healthcare in Singapore, she completed specialist training in Periodontics at the National University of Singapore, earning her Master of Dental Surgery in 2020 and receiving the IADR prize for the top student.

Before joining Perio Specialist Studio, Dawn practised at Singapore’s largest specialist dental hospital, managing complex cases while also contributing to research and teaching. She has published in international journals and was a clinical instructor in the Periodontology Residency Programme at Duke-NUS Medical School.

Dawn believes oral health is closely linked to overall health and is passionate about holistic care. She is experienced with patients who have complex medical conditions or dental anxiety, and is known for her collaborative and empathetic manner. Her clinical interests include surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, gum grafting around teeth and implants, implant surgery, peri-implant management, and periodontal care for orthodontic patients. She can also consult fluently in Mandarin.

Committed to professional development, Dawn is an active member of the European Federation of Periodontology, Society of Periodontology Singapore, Academy of Medicine Singapore, ANZAP, Australian Society of Periodontology, and the International Team for Implantology.
